Canada Aims to Boost Defense, Cyber Security in Indo-Pacific to Counteract ‘Disruptive’ China

On Sunday, Nov. 27, the Canadian government launched its long-awaited Indo-Pacific strategy outlining a spending of C$2.3 billion (USD$1.7 billion) to boost military and cyber security in the region. The deal also vowed to deal with a “disruptive” China while working with Beijing on issues regarding climate change and trade.
