U.S. needs satellite constellation to counter China: next space chief



The U.S. needs to establish a constellation of widely distributed satellites so that adversaries cannot take out vital communication systems in one blow, President Joe Biden’s pick to serve as the next Space Force chief of operations told Congress this week.

Pointing to China and Russia, Lt. Gen. Chance Saltzman said: “They have invested heavily in the ability to destroy, not just disrupt or degrade but to destroy, our space capabilities.”
